There may be a slight odour when the farmyard manure bag is opened first, this will disappear when the manure is exposed to air. Apply 2-3 inches of the farmyard manure deep over the soil and fork it into the ground at a depth of 6-8 inches. Ensure the farmyard manure is mixed well into the soil to create an even distribution of compost nutrients.
